RE; RT. HON. CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI ESQ. IS AN INGRATE AND WITHOUT ME, HE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN SPEAKER, GOVERNOR, AND MINISTER... CHIBIKE IKENGA.
HON. CHIBIKE IKENGA IS UNGRATEFUL, AN INGRATE, AND A BETRAYAL PERSONIFIED WITHOUT CONSCIENCE... CHIZY ENYI ESQ.
My attention has been drawn to a news item wherein one Hon. Chibike Ikenga said that my learned colleague of the noble profession, Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is an ingrate, and without him, he could not have been the Speaker, the Governor, and the Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. What a statement from a man whose conscience and shame have long been thrown into the pit of hell.
It is on record that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Esq bought form to contest as a member of Rivers State House of Assembly under the People's Democratic Party in 1999. He won the primary election and participated in the general election, where he won overwhelming. But because the election results were mutilated by some officials of Inec, another person by the name Uche Okwukwu Esq was announced. Not satisfied with the announcement of the result, he filed a petition at the election petition tribunal and subsequently Court of Appeal. The legal team, in the course of gathering information to file their processes, met several persons, including Iyke Thomas at his bar, known as calabash where Chibike Ikenga was working for him as a bar man. It was during the discussion between the legal team and Iyke Thomas that Chibike Ikenga intruded with a demand for a pot of porridge. The rest is history. In summary, the court of appeal in declaring Amaechi as the winner of the election held that the mutilation is evidence that the result tendered by Inec was not the original result and went further to state that even the person so declared by Inec was not a registered voter and therefore does not qualify to participate in an election.
Apart from the ministerial position, which was the discretion of President Buhari, Rivers people know more about how Amaechi became the Governor of Rivers State.
At one point or the other, Chibike Ikenga will always abandon those who have helped him in life. In case you don't know how Chibike Ikenga rose to the level he is, let me inform;
1. In 1993, Chibike Ikenga met Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, the then SA on Students Affairs to Gov. Rufus Ada-George, and begged him to make him the President of National Union of Rivers State Students, COE Chapter. As at then, Hon. Dakuku Adol Peterside was the NURSS National President. Amaechi prevailed on Dakuku to support Ikenga, and he won the election. That same year, the military took over the government, and Ikenga abandoned Amaechi. Betrayal No.1
2. In 1999, after Amaechi won the election as a member of Rivers State House of Assembly, Chibike Ikenga abandoned his party APP that he was the LGA Chairman, Iyke Thomas, and Uche Okwukwu and followed Amaechi. Betrayal No.2
3. Rt. Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi recommended him to the then Commissioner for Culture, Tourism, and Special Duties, and he was appointed Special Assistant.
4. Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi nominated him for the appointment as Commissioner 1 in Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission. Allegations of fraud that were petitioned against him were swept under the carpet. Only God knows how it happened.
5. He was appointed by Amaechi as Special Assistant attached to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor.
6. He was recommended to the then MD, NDDC, and he was appointed as Special Adviser to Hon. Chris Oboh. All the contracts accrued to the office, only God knows whether he gave to others.
7. He was appointed the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
8. He was recommended and was subsequently appointed as a Director of Federal Inland Waterways.
Less I forget, Ikenga's lifestyle, earned him the following:
1. HE WAS THE GOSSIP IN CHIEF to Arc. Tonye Cole, the APC gubernatorial candidate in 2019 and 2023 election, who gossiped against everybody, including Amaechi himself, and negotiated to be the Chief of Staff. Because Tonye did win, he abandoned him. Betrayal No.3
2. When Hon. Udi became the Minister for State Environment, he negotiated and became unofficial SA, and immediately Hon. Udi left office, he abandoned him, and ran back to the same Wike he pretended he never liked. Betrayal No.4
In all these, between Amaechi and Chibike Ikenga, who made the other. Who is an ingrate, a betrayal, and an ungrateful human being.
