We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: AHTS Chief Engineer (Marine)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • Shall provide safe reliable operation of the vessel’s engines and all other machinery systems.
  • Shall support the Master by carrying out orders and / or instructions,  and shall inform the Master whenever an operation may place any of the vessel’s machinery or other equipment at risk of damage.

Ensure the vessel is safely operated in accordance with:

  • STCW 1978 as amended and MLC 2006
  • MARPOL 73/78
  • Flag State Regulations and Class Regulations and Requirement
  • The ISM and ISPS Code
  • Safety Management System
  • Instruct and encourage crew to work safely and lead by example.
  • Inform Vessel Management of any deficiencies related to equipment, standards and procedures
  • Ensure that the vessel operates efficiently and incident free.  
  • To ensure that the vessel remains within compliance of the requirements of all applicable rules, laws, regulations, guidelines and practices of good seamanship at all times  and maintains a high standard of housekeeping throughout the vessel.
  • To ensure that the SLIMS is  followed and maintained with particular emphasis on the correct use and application of PPE, safety equipment, Check-lists and all other safety precautions relating to job and task performance with particular emphasis on the protection of the environment and pollution prevention.
  • To ensure planned maintenance is executed as per (planned maintenance system on board).
  • Issue appropriate clear written or verbal orders and instructions.
  • Shall plan and supervise technical and engineering related operations, including the corrective and preventative maintenance and inspection of the vessel’s equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems and all machinery and associated plans.
  • Shall analyse and report any technical problems, making recommendations and assist with any corrective maintenance, temporary and permanent repairs.
  • Shall maintain all technical department related logbooks, documentation and filing, including when necessary, the preparation of dry dock and other repair related reports.
  • Shall monitor and participate, check and report as necessary, fuel and lubricating oil consumption, and  maintain accountability through  company approved methods as applicable.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication is maintained by telephone and email.
  • Ordering, loading, stowing as applicable all fuel and lubricants, vessel stores and supplies as and when necessary.
  • Ensure that the engine room watch keeping regimes and practices, including those related to security, are maintained at all times as per company standing orders.
  • Shall directly supervise or responsibly delegate all required training and familiarisation of engine room personnel, particularly when such personnel are new to the vessel.
  • Ensure that SPM buoy surface maintenance consisting of bi-weekly and monthly surface Planned Maintenance is executed (If applicable).
  • Provide a handover report to the reliever upon completion of tour of duty and or when change of command is required.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience on Similar Vessels.
  • Experience of Towing and Anchor handling Operations.
  • COC 111/2 > 3000KW (Unlimited).
  • COC 111/2 > 3000KW (NCV).
  • STCW, HELMS, ERM, NIMASA SID, HUET/BOSIET, OSP, PCSRB, SSO, etc etc.

Job Title: Operations & HSE Superintendent

Location: Warri - Escravos, Delta


Job Description

  • You will be working in the operations department and reporting to the Contract Manager.

The job comprises of the following:

  • Promoting company and clients ’SHE-Q  standards, encourage, motivate and enhance all company staff towards SHE-Q  by striving to achieve zero lost time incident.
  • Liaise with Contract Manager to utilize available resources in executing the contract in accordance with all the requirements of the client in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationship with Client.
  • Assist in creating bridging document where necessary for operational and procedural efficiency
  • Promote corporate identity and image of the Company
  • Obtain all certificates, such as On and Off Hire certificates and maintain validity of Vessel certificates in accordance with the contract conditions.
  • Responsible for the management of the entire vessel, including but not limited to Crew, safety appliances, equipment, procedure, stores, spares, food etc and ensure quick dispatch to vessels to avoid off-hire.
  • Ensure both the Technical and Contract Management are fully informed on all matters relating to repairs and maintenance of the vessel.
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly/periodic inspections and produce timely report in line with applicable Operational /SHE-Q
  • Coordinate with Contract Manager and Client for all vessel Statutory Inspections (BV, Nimasa, Radio Survey, OVID, SUPO, MAR 7) e.t.c.
  • Monitor and report goods, fuel and lube oils purchased for vessel are used solely for the purpose for which they are intended.
  • Evaluate all data from vessels including End of Month returns, MARAD, SL Dox, Requisitions to ensure issues are reported accordingly
  • Arrange Base Passes as may be required to enable contractors or visitors from Head Office to attend to the vessels
  • Liaise with HR/Crewing and Contract Manager for all crew related issues. Examples include but are not limited to Crew Change arrangement, Time Sheet, PPE requirements, Training Requirements, Repatriation amongst others
  • Provide assistance to Contract Manager and SHE-Q Manager during incident investigation, Near miss, Safety related information.
  • Delivers SHE-Q information to stakeholders and vessels an raise relevant SHE-Q awareness.
  • Review monthly SHE-Q report to identify any training requirements within the operation.
  • Ensure all joining staff receive full induction and familiarization program in line with Company expectation
  • Attend meetings with Client and give constructive feedback to Contract Manager
  • Periodically visit vessels offshore to check and monitor compliance level with Company management system or in the event of an incident
  • Perform other activities/Logistics for smooth running of the contract

Qualifications
Our new coworker recognizes the nfollowing profile:

  • In possesion of a B.Sc Degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of Marine operations in the Oil/gas industry (STCW, MLC, ISM, OVID).
  • NEBOSH -IGC.
