Job Title: HSE Officer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The HSE Officer will be required to coordinate the Health & Safety department of the Company, support the development of Health & Safety attitude addressing three major areas: site conditions, procedures, and behaviour. Lead safety and promote best practices.
  • Provide the technical HSE support to the site to ensure the safe delivery of the day, compliance with the organization’s standards, good industry practices and local legislative requirements where applicable.
  • He/she will drive the HSE performance improvement of the facility within his/her area of responsibility.
  • This includes visible personal leadership on HSE matters, setting of standards, regular reviews of performance and implementing improvements where required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily HSE meetings and inspections.
  • Follow-up on site HSE issues.
  • Assist in and conduct periodic HSE audits to ensure the site complies with environmental permits and company’s HSE standards.
  • Facilitate and drive safety initiatives.
  • Ensure safety critical elements are inspected and maintained as per plans.
  • Ensure life camp, on-site clinic and other facilities are in compliance with health and safety expectations.
  • Review and update the health risk assessment as necessary.
  • Prepare and update site specific HSE procedures and documents.
  • Support on site implementation of HSE training programs.
  • Develop and implement emergency drills.
  • Ensure lessons learnt from incident investigations are disseminated to all employees and contractors throughout the site.
  • Ensure accurate incident reporting.
  • Tracking and closing out of HSE action items, including actions from internal and external audit findings.
  • Participate in HAZID and HAZOP studies for the site when required.
  • Provide assistance, coaching and support to the business units for the elaboration and sharing of Health & Safety policies, standards and procedures aligned with the company’s requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate in all locations of the company.
  • Assess compliance through recurrent safety audits.
  • Participate in the evaluation of technical skills and competences of the Health & Safety network.
  • Activate Health & Safety improvements throughout the company.
  • Help and challenge the company in defining their annual Health & Safety plan.
  • Validate and challenge root cause analysis and action plans for major accidents and ensure follow up on action plans.
  • Facilitate experience sharing & convergence in H&S.
  • Benchmark company’s best practices nationwide while respecting local preferences and priorities but ensuring company level improvements.
  • Elaborate periodic follow up of H&S results nationwide trends, actions and network effectiveness.
  • Consolidate all levels of the company’s performance indicators.
  • Coach & counsel Plant/Site Managers on safety.
  • Develop close communication within and across business units.

Skills and Experience

  • Candidates should possess an HND, B.Eng or BSc qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years HSE experience of which you must be familiar in the Marine/Shipping sector.
  • Minimum of 3 years previous safety experience in some of the following areas: safety program development, fire prevention, hazardous materials, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety management, process hazard analysis, incident investigation and the development and implementation of safe operations procedures and processes.
  • Professional membership or registration in Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals.
  • Experience in the Marine field with in-depth HSE field work.
  • Sound negotiation skills, strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team as well as being able to be a self-starter.
  • Able to work with deadlines and possess a proven track record of delivering required projects in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ability to travel to other job locations.

Salary
N150,000 / month.

Job Title: IT Support Officer

Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating system, and application.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Monitor and secure company’s websites, portals and web server from online attacks by updating the plugins and modules to keep them functioning always
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnose and solve hardware or software faults.
  • Set up new user accounts, and profiles and dealing with password issues.
  • Procure computers, printers, and other peripheral devices as required.
  • Offer daily systems support to staff
  • Assist with designs and graphics for internal and external use when required
  • Perform other functions assigned to you

Responsibilities and Authorities

  • The holder of this position has the necessary authorities to carry out the responsibilities stated above. This position’s financial authority, if any, will be specified in Arion Energy Services authorization matrix

Key Attributes & Skills:

  • Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
  • Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications, IT security and interface
  • Knowledge of essential programming languages, especially WordPress, Java Script, PHP, Joomla, etc. is important
  • Knowledge of graphics designs
  • Proficient in English language, both written and verbal
  • Quick learning ability and apt problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinking, coordination, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced project environment
  • Result oriented and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Good use of Microsoft office applications

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 monthly.

Job Title: Executive Driver

Job Summary / Description
The Driver is responsible for transporting company staff and items to their destinations via automobile.

  • Consider different routes, check climate and traffic reports to decide the best time to travel and the best route to take
  • Strictly comply with road regulations at all times
  • Ensure that the automobile remains clean and well maintained
  • Carry out routine inspections on the vehicle to ensure that it is always in good condition
  • Maintain vehicle equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety
  • Identify electrical and mechanical problems that may hinder smooth working of the car and carry out minor repairs and maintenance where necessary
  • Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion

Educational Qualification

  • SSCE / OND in any field of study
  • Minimum of 3 years driving experience
  • A valid Driver’s license
  • Applicants MUST reside in Ogun State or are willing to relocate to the factory environment.

Salary Range
N50,000 - N60,000 / month.

Reporting to: the MD

Responsibilities

  • Providing secretarial and administrative support services to the MD.
  • Examining documents for review.
  • Responding to client queries and requests.
  • Handling travel and other logistics arrangements.
  • Performing other designed.
  • Organizing meetings; including scheduling, sending reminders, and organizing catering when necessary
  • Providing administrative assistance, such as writing and editing mails, drafting memos, and preparing communications on the MD's behalf.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records.
  • Managing the MD's calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • B.Sc / HND in Business Administration, Law any other social sciences or any related discipline 3-5 years of work experience as an Executive or Personal Assistant
