Position Purpose
- We are looking for a Marketing Director, Nigeria. The incumbent will be responsible for Portfolio Management, Budgeting, Strategy Development, Key stakeholder management, Leading & coordinating brand, Coaching & Development.
- The incumbent reports directly to the General Manager, Nigeria.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
- Lead portfolio strategy to ensure all portfolio gaps are addressed, brand pricing strategies are built to ensure JTI competitiveness.
- Drive long term equity of our brands- packaging, activation, POSM etc
- Participate in the preparation and delivery of Business review, A&SP presentations, as well deliver as per agreed plan through developing M&S strategies and programs.
- Develop the strategic direction for thorough in-depth analysis of current markets, drawing up a priority list and developing market entry plans with the local & regional teams based on consumer & trade insights.
- Establish and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Channel planning, trade segmentation, cycle planning, development of trade loyalty programs; understand and drive to satisfy the changing needs of consumers to ensure JTI portfolio sustainability.
- Recruit, motivate, coach & develop the professional team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- University Degree in Business Administration or its equivalent
- 10-15 years' experience in Marketing & Sales
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge in MS Office and marketing standards in tobacco industry is a plus

Position Purpose
- We are looking for a Sales Director, Nigeria. The incumbent will be responsible for managing sales & distribution of JTI brands in Nigeria.
- Key business objectives of the role include; Volume, Profit & Market share growth delivery, Managing & leading a sales team of 25 people, Managing our distributor partners to ensure excellent execution of sales, distribution & trade marketing programmes in line with industry standards & regulations.
- The incumbent shall report directly to the General Manager, Nigeria.
Main Areas of Responsibilities
- Ensure volume & market share growth & deliver on A&SP volume targets while reporting any changes/challenges to the General Manager.
- Ensure strategic plans are in place to achieve 100% availability for all channels & locations in our market.
- Responsible for effective implementation of sales, distribution, merchandising, through effective territory planning & management & field force deployment. Monitors progress and recommends corrective action where necessary.
- Accountable for executional and sales data gathering, KPI monitoring and sales reporting to the General Manager Nigeria & Regional M&S VP.
- Ensure that JTI’s interests are maintained whilst being up to date on each distributor’s position.
- Manage & lead a direct team of 5 people & an overall team of 25 JTI sales personnel based in Lagos & other locations across the country in different states.
- In alignment with the GM, work closely with the Marketing Director to ensure successful execution of all marketing & sales programs within the markets which include (but not limited to), new brand launches, route to market plans & strategies and pricing initiatives.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- University Degree or its equivalent
- 12- 15 years’ experience in sales & distribution /channel management/ field trade marketing.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Knowledge in MS Office and marketing standards in tobacco industry is a plus.
